Siddha Holistic Health Care & Research Center is the
non-profit organization founded by three Siddha Doctors and a group
of philanthropists to promote usage of Siddha medicine and to create
a positive mindset among the public.
The objective of
this organization is to serve the humanity by establishing
multi-specialty hospitals, treating patients, promoting Siddha,
Ayurvedic, Unani coupled with time tested therapies on Yoga and
Varma and other complementary systems as per choice and compiling
the clinical data with the aim of evolving clinical protocol for
each and every case.
With this
background, SHHARC established Deeksha Nalavazhvagam - as the
name suggests house of good and healthy life. This pilot project
came in to being on Aug 22, 2001 at Salem. This is a non-profitable
center is functioning successfully by treating people as out patient
in Siddha clinic, yoga therapy for chronic illness, regular yoga
classes for positive health promotion, coordinating community health
care projects and siddha life style awareness programs etc.
SHHARC is
involved in Pharmaceutical preparations and Research works on Siddha
medicines. The objectives of this center functioning in Chennai are
manufacturing siddha and Ayurvedic herbal formulations and dietary
supplements. Key medicinal plants used in Siddha and other Indian
systems of medicines are being cultivated at Valavanur, South Arcot,
Karipatty, and Yercaud.
SHHARC (Deeksha
Nalavazhvagam) involves in various social programs with Central and
State Government and Voluntary associations to related to common
interest i.e. creating an awareness on Siddha life style, importance
and use of Indian medicinal plants, yoga training and yoga therapy
thereby creating an environment for positive health care.
